Algis Performance — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Algis Performance ("we", "us") collects when you use the Algis Performance application ("the App"), how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who is the data controller
Algis Performance is the data controller for the personal data processed through the App. Contact: support@algisperformance.com.
2. What data we collect
Information you provide when you sign up:
- Email address
- Full name
- Role (athlete, coach, head coach, parent)
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Password (stored only as a hash by our auth provider)
Information you provide while using the App:
- Daily check-in data: sleep quality and duration, energy, mood, soreness, training load, readiness, free-text notes.
- Body screening data: the body zones where you report soreness or discomfort, and the feeling you report for each zone.
- Physical measurements you choose to log (e.g., body weight, height, resting heart rate), at a frequency you control.
- Ratings or notes your coach records about your sessions.
- Invite tokens you redeem or generate.
Information we generate:
- A computed readiness score derived from your check-in inputs.
- Trends and summary statistics derived from your history.
- Technical logs needed to operate the App securely (e.g., request timestamps, error diagnostics).
We do not intentionally collect payment information, precise location, contacts, or device-level health data from Apple Health or Google Fit.
3. How we use your data
We process your personal data to:
- Provide the core functionality of the App, including calculating your readiness score and trends.
- Show your data to the coaches you are connected with via accepted invite relationships.
- Authenticate you, restore your session, and keep your account secure.
- Respond to support requests you send to us.
- Diagnose and fix bugs and improve reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Our legal basis for processing (where GDPR applies) is the performance of the contract between you and us (these Terms), your explicit consent where you give it (for example, when you accept an invite), and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service.
4. Who we share data with
Coaches you are connected to. When you accept a coach's invite, the coach can view the check-in data, readiness scores, body-zone data, and measurements associated with the coach–athlete relationship. You can revoke this by contacting support.
Service providers acting on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure under a data processing agreement. Supabase acts as a processor and is contractually bound to handle your data only as instructed by us.
- Apple and Google — to distribute the App and, where you opt in, deliver push notifications. Their handling of device-level data is governed by their own privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your check-in or body data to train generalized machine-learning models that are shared outside Algis Performance.
We may disclose data if required by law, to respond to a lawful request from public authorities, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Algis Performance, our users, or others.
5. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on managed database infrastructure operated by Supabase. Depending on the Supabase region configured for the project, data may be stored in the United States or the European Union. International transfers, where they occur, are carried out under appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you request deletion, we delete your account and associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Technical and security logs are retained for a short operational window and then deleted or anonymized.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent that you previously gave, without affecting prior lawful processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 for self-signup. Children under 13 may use the App only when a coach invites them and attests that verifiable parental or guardian consent has been obtained, as described in the Terms of Service.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal data without your consent, email support@algisperformance.com and we will delete that data promptly.
Where local law (for example, GDPR in certain EU member states) sets a higher minimum age for self-signup (up to 16), we will apply that higher threshold.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, access controls, and database-level row security policies that restrict which users can see which rows. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this Policy
If we materially change this Privacy Policy we will update the "Last updated" date above and ask you to re-accept the next time you sign in. Material changes that expand the categories of data we collect or the ways we use it will be communicated clearly.
